Shorts

  • Green waistband
  • Michigan State Helmet Logo on the belt buckle
  • Two stripes that come to a point on one side containing the Greek key pattern
  • Michigan State Helmet Logo in the middle of the stripes, on the bottom of both legs
  • Nike logo on the upper left leg

2016 - 2017 Season Changes

  • The Michigan State Helmet Logo on the belt buckle is now surrounded by a bronze rectangle
  • On the green away shorts, the color of the waistband was changed from white to green to match the rest of the shorts


2016 - 2017 Mid-Season Changes


  • For the Michigan State vs. Nebraska game on February 23, 2017 (88 – 72 Win), Michigan State wore their green away jerseys at home for the “Green Out” at the Breslin Center
  • For the Michigan State vs. Wisconsin game on February 26, 2017 (84 – 74 Win), Michigan State wore 2017 Nike M.A.C. Throwback Jerseys
  • For the Michigan State vs. Penn Stats game on March 9, 2017 (78-51 Win), Michigan State wore 2017 Nike M.A.C. Throwback Jerseys


  • For the Michigan State vs. Miami game on March 17, 2017 (78 – 58 Win) and also for the next game against Kansas (70 – 90 Loss), Michigan State wore a patch on their left shoulder commemorating the NCAA tournament, which was a blue circle with the NCAA logo in white – all 65 teams invited to the tournament wore the same patch on either their right or left shoulder


2017 - 2018 Season Changes

Black rectangular “JUD” patch with white letters was added to the jersey, honoring the late Jud Heathcote, who coached the Spartans from 1976-1995. Jud died on August 28, 2017 at the age of 90.
